My name is Matt Kreikemeier and I am a 25 year old freelance web developer/designer located in St. Louis, Missouri.
I have an older brother that decided to nickname me Goon when I was just a baby and in some ridiculous way, it has stuck my entire life. Everyone (yes even my parents) refer to me as Goon, Gooner, Gooms, or any variation that can be thought of, so feel free to call me Goon.

Detailed Stats:
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I went to St. Louis University High School where my Honors English teacher once said that “You could power a light bulb with all the brain power in the room.” I never really thought of myself as exceptionally smart but some of the kids in that school were brilliant and have since gone on to do terrific things, and so I am extremely proud to say that I am an alum of the SLUH class of 2003.
I also played soccer during my four years at SLUH and led the team as captain my senior year.
With soccer scholarship in hand, I moved on to Michigan State University to continue my education and soccer career. In 2004, I was able to help lead our team to its first-ever Big Ten Championship in Men’s Soccer. In the summer of 2005, while playing in a professional development league between NCAA seasons, I won a national championship with the Des Moines Menace. While the team accomplishments ended in 2005, I did have some personal achievements that I am proud of. I was honored to lead my team as captain my senior season after coming off of a successful Junior season where I became the first soccer player to play every second of every game at center midfield. I continued this trend throughout my senior season, going two full years without coming off the field (we aren’t going to count those 17 seconds I had to step off against Northwestern after an injury because no substitution was made!).
After flirting with professional soccer, I landed an amazing job as a web production designer at Paradigm New Media Group in St. Louis where I learned everything I know! I now work as a freelance designer and developer, working with HTML, CSS, jQuery and other javascript frameworks, PHP, Wordpress, Joomla!, drupal, as well as creative applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Flash. I love taking on new tasks and am available for hire, so please feel free to contact me with questions about anything I may be able to help you with.
